Bonnie Britton- A Little Bit About Me:
Becoming a mother has changed how I think about a lot of things, Pregnancy, birth and the subsequent transition into motherhood included. Whilst I used to think of birthing as more of a necessary evil, I now recognise it for the magical journey that it is.
As Sheila Kitzinger says "Birth isn't something we suffer but something we actively do - and exalt in."
I am deeply aware that childbirth can, and ultimately should, be a positive experience; a profound and life-changing discovery. I believe that with the right preparation and support a woman can, regardless of the path it takes, experience her labour as an enabling act, allowing her to recognise within herself a power and a new sense of her own identity.
My two children mean the world to me. I think the role of being a parent is extremely important and I love to watch as my children grow and change, knowing that I am a part of something so special. The experience of watching another woman bring a child into this world that she will feel this way about is incredible - I feel very lucky to have such a role.
I am very comfortable around a range of people, and can relate well to individuals from all walks of life. I provide evidence based information and have an open-minded outlook. Whatever your hopes and plans for pregnancy, childbirth and beyond, I am confident that I can provide support that will serve to enhance your experience.
